Acquire Investment: Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy

Acquire Investment is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. In our commitment to mitigating risks associated with money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other illicit activities, we have implemented a comprehensive Know Your Customer (KYC) policy. This policy outlines the procedures we follow to identify, verify, and monitor our clients and investors.

The scope of our KYC policy encompasses all existing and potential clients and investors of Acquire Investment, including but not limited to companies, pension funds, endowments, insurance companies, private banks, nonprofits, and individuals. Additionally, it extends to the management of publicly issued fund shares, such as open-end funds and closed-end funds.

Prior to establishing any business relationship or accepting investments, Acquire Investment undertakes thorough client identification and verification procedures. This process involves collecting and validating information such as the client’s legal name, address, date of birth (for individuals), registration number (for companies), and other pertinent details. To verify the identity and address of the client or investor, Acquire Investment obtains official identification documents (e.g., passport, national ID card, driver’s license) along with supporting documents (e.g., utility bills, bank statements). Enhanced due diligence measures are applied as required by applicable laws and regulations for clients or investors who are politically exposed persons (PEPs), located in high-risk jurisdictions, or involved in higher-risk activities.

Acquire Investment also requests information on the source of funds and wealth from clients and investors to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) regulations. Clients and investors are required to provide documentation or evidence to substantiate the legitimacy of the funds being invested.

We conduct ongoing monitoring of our clients and investors to identify and prevent any suspicious activities or changes in risk profile. Regular reviews of client information, including updates on any modifications to personal or corporate details, are performed at appropriate intervals. Any unusual or suspicious transactions or activities are reported to the relevant authorities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

At Acquire Investment, we handle all client and investor information with strict confidentiality and in compliance with applicable data protection laws. Personal and sensitive data collected during the KYC process is securely stored and protected from unauthorized access or disclosure. Client information is only shared with third parties when required by law or with the explicit consent of the client.

To ensure a comprehensive understanding of KYC procedures and their obligations under this policy, we provide regular training and awareness programs to our employees. Our staff is trained to identify and report any suspicious activities or red flags that may indicate potential money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illicit activities.

We maintain records of all KYC procedures, including identification and verification documents, for the prescribed period as mandated by applicable laws and regulations. Internal audits are conducted periodically to assess the effectiveness and compliance of our KYC policy.

By adhering to our KYC policy, Acquire Investment aims to safeguard against financial crimes and maintain a secure and trustworthy environment for our clients and investors.
